The reformation of 414 (EW) Squadron at Ottawa last week also brought the news that some of the Top Aces Alpha Jets are carrying a new "Aggressor" scheme. First pictures of the scheme were posted here at

Jim, I am sure this is a Canadian thing, by why do these a/c have civilian registrations?

The Canadian Forces got out of the EW Aggressor business and contracted with a private company called Top Aces. So you have CAF personal flying in the back seats of civilian aircraft with civilian pilots, though all the the pilots are ex-CAF guys.
